Week 1. Lecture 033: The more serene you remain in the face of other people’s faults, the more you have accepted yourself as you are.
Week 2. Lecture 005: God’s justice uses human injustice in order to become operable!
Week 3. Lecture 031: The moment you hopelessly despair about the lower side of your nature, you have not accepted yourself as you are. That means you are lacking the humility of courageously facing everything about yourself — and that is pride.
Week 4. Lecture 009: You may be certain your own degree of happiness is the degree to which you can make another one or several human beings happy.
Week 5. Lecture 058: To the measure you discover the desire for rulership within yourself and learn to give it up voluntarily, you will give up provoking unhappiness and misery.
Week 6Lecture 032: As long as you are not completely purified, your love cannot be divine and perfect. Your love will be blurred to the extent you are still lacking purification.
Week 7. Lecture 219: Each recognition, each insight, each honest admission, each shedding of a partial mask, each breaking through of a defense, each step of courage and honesty where you take responsibility for your negativity, is a lighting of yet another candle. You bring light into your soul by bringing truth into your darkness.
Week 8. Lecture 225: The more self-responsible you are, the more you contribute to the group. The more you can assert your rights and your individual needs, the less you need from and conform to the group, the freer your love and your ability to give to the group will be. Therefore you can receive more from it.
Week 9. Lecture 240: Let your consciousness align itself with the divine will of loving yourself; loving yourself without indulging yourself, without whitewashing your lower self; seeing it straight, and loving your beautiful structure, loving your incarnation, loving all that is around you, even that which seems to infringe in some way on you. Recognize its lesson and begin to love it.
Week 10. Lecture 222: You can indeed create paradise on earth if you do not shy away from the labour of purification work. But soon the work itself becomes the exhilaration and the joy; it ceases to be painful and difficult.
Week 11. Lecture 174: You can find peace only when you can truly accept the ugliest in you and never lose sight of your intrinsic beauty.
Week 12. Lecture 082: As you learn to become aware of your real fear of death in any form, be it physical death, be it any negative occurrence, you free the life force in you, which will then invigorate you as you meet that which you fear.
Week 13. Lecture 240: You constantly overlook the tremendous freedom you possess in the choice you have about how to think, interpret, and react in any given situation. You fail to comprehend that through this choice you have the power to create and change conditions.
Week 14. Lecture 236: Each step in your own growth does not only aid your own happiness and fulfillment, important as this is of course, but is also a powerful atomic-energy-like force, a nucleus that spreads and multiplies with many other such nuclei created by yourselves and others so that the Christ force gains an ever greater impetus.
Week 15. Lecture 095: The self-estranged person experiences frustration of a wish or of a goal much more than of the unfulfillment itself. In other words, the pain of not having what he wants is much less than the additional factor of receiving proof, as it were, of his worthlessness, inadequacy, unlovability his being nothing. Of course, this is unconscious.
Week 16. Lecture 248: It is necessary to make the connection between your lower self that — due to its ignorance, fear, and lack of faith — creates destructive solutions and negative intentionality on the one hand and the voices of satanic entities on the other. Together these two factors wreak havoc in your life and the life of those around you. The time has come when you need to know clearly, fearlessly, and intelligently what the facts of life are in this respect. For the stronger you become in your higher self with its positive intentionality, and, at the same time, certain aspects of the lower self remain unattended to, the more you become a prey to evil influences who are much more concerned with you than with those whose life is not particularly dedicated to God.
Week 17. Lecture 250: When you are unhappy, fearful, discouraged, in darkness, know at least that you are not in truth. This will make a lot of difference.
Week 18. Lecture 058: The mature concept of happiness in its highest unfoldment is: “I am independent of outer circumstances, regardless of what they are. I can be happy under any circumstances because even the disadvantageous or unpleasant events will have a purpose, bringing me that much nearer to complete freedom and infinite happiness.” Thus even difficult times will have the power to make you happy.
Week 19. Lecture 225: The moment you are fearful of your aloneness, you must also understand that the relating to the other — be it one person or a group — will be as difficult as your aloneness. And only when your aloneness is no longer difficult will the group living or the one-to-one living be a true unfoldment of joy.
Week 20. Lecture 258: Your real being that is without any shades of untruthfulness, error, distortion (sin) is in total well-being. There is no pain there. This true being observes your earth being that has undertaken to correct the distorted part. It observes with compassion for the momentary difficulties, but without tragedy, for it knows that all is well and that the temporary suffering must lead to salvation.
Week 21. Lecture 230: The new person coming to live and function in this new age is one who never fears change, who constantly is ready for change, but not out of fear and escape or lack of full commitment to the depth of the now, to settling down into what is. But in this full commitment, in this peaceful “nowness” in which you give your fullest to whatever it is you are doing, to all of yourself, to all of your activities.
Week 22. Lecture 242: In its divine expression the human soul deeply knows that no matter how distorted and negative another human being may be, he is nevertheless a divine manifestation and, as such, truly equal to him — on that deepest level.
Week 23. Lecture 067: The more confidence you have in yourself, the more you will trust in life as a whole. But this self-confidence can only come with the solution of inner conflicts and deviations.
Week 26. Lecture 021: What you can accomplish in one incarnation by taking this path, would perhaps need twenty if you do not. That is the difference. And that will give you an idea how much it is within your power to break the limitations.
Week 27. Lecture 150: Each moment of discontent contains answers for you. If you look for these answers, you transcend the now and experience the truth of the universe, which is that every fraction of life is infinite bliss.
Week 28. Lecture 151: It is of great value to you to merely observe your reluctance to untense yourself and to know that tension and intensity are the immediate blocks to self-realization. You can also know then that your reluctance is directly connected with a reluctance to see something in yourself. This, in turn, is directly responsible for your self-distrust, hence distrust of the creative powers.
Week 29. Lecture 180: One’s contentment and fulfillment specifically in regard to relationship is a much neglected measuring yard to one’s own development. Relationship with others is a mirror of one’s own state and thus a direct help to one’s self-purification. Conversely, it is equally true that only by thorough self-honesty and self-facing can relationships be sustained, feelings expand, and contact between human beings blossom in long-term relationships.
Week 30. Lecture 233: Only through the honesty and courage of self-exposure and purification will you gain sufficient initial self-esteem to expose your devastating belief in your valuelessness. Only when you pierce through the superficial substitute maneuvers of false self-value, making room for facing your painful belief in being valueless, can you begin to see this assumption and cast doubt on your self-doubt.
Week 32. Lecture 121: It is of utmost importance, my friends, to ascertain all your needs, to what extent they are fulfilled, to what extent unfulfilled. Think about the variety of universal needs, and then look inside to see if you have given all of them a rightful place. Ascertain about which particular needs you feel guilty and ashamed. Ascertain which needs must remain unfulfilled due to your personal images, main problems, unresolved conflicts, pseudosolutions, and idealized self-image. Look further into the possibilities of your personal displacements.
Week 34. Lecture 203: Do an exercise in trust in which you open yourself for the possibility that the universe will yield you whatever you need. Experiment for the moment with this thought: “How would it be if I were to trust the universe, if in this particular situation I gave up the fear that is a result of my distrust and therefore of pride and self-will?”
Week 35. Lecture 207: Apparently insignificant attitude that exists in the human personality reappears in symbolic form in the sexual expression. The way sexuality expresses itself in an individual is a mirror to those aspects in him that he desperately needs to be aware of.
Week 36. Lecture 212: Visualize yourself unafraid of the worst in you because the worst will transform into the most beautiful, wise, strong, loving force. In the hiding, it becomes puny and dangerous. In the exposing, you make it possible to envisage this new potential.
Week 37. Lecture 096: Sadness is healthy; it is a result of feeling and responding to aspects of reality. But self-pity and depression are not. Boredom is not. Life is joy and sadness; happiness and tragedy; fulfillment and frustration. The real self can deal with both, the false self with neither.
Week 38. Lecture 037: Any disharmonious feeling you have in connection with the adversities of your personal life will prove to you that somehow and somewhere within yourself you have not accepted life’s rules and are rejecting the personal responsibility for your hardships, therefore not being willing to take the medicine.
Week 39. Lecture 023: It is your sacred duty, just as it is to do your best for your own development, for your own life, also to be concerned with the life of every other person. In some way you are bound to everyone else, even your worst enemy. That person is you and you are that person.
Week 40. Lecture 230: He who completely accepts and embraces life cannot fear death, and vice versa.
Week 41. Lecture 007: Only what comes to us through inner discipline and overcoming of what is difficult, only that for which we have paid the price, brings lasting happiness.
Week 42. Lecture 175: There is no other suffering as acute as the one when you do not know that you have created what you experiences.
Week 44. Lecture 067: Whenever you shall have gained the full understanding of what self-responsibility means, fear dissolves because you know without a doubt that you are never dependent on the whim of other people; you are never exposed to chaotic coincidence.
Week 45. Lecture 168: Only as you can give up and let go the specific desires that are behind the fear, will the fear vanish and will the soul movement relax.
Week 46. Lecture 230: In this period of extended energetic influx of the Christ consciousness in the new age, there are more individuals who, through this influx, open themselves up to it. When you do not oppose it, when you do not shrink away from it, when you trust it and go with it, you can indeed bring forth a second incarnation within one embodiment.
Week 47. Lecture 167: Light, bliss, vital inner movement can only come when your goal is to be in those feelings you have always wished to avoid. Your own treasure of creative life, of warm, eternal, moving life is revealed to you only in this direction, never otherwise.
Week 49. Lecture 154: The ability to stand pleasure, delight, ecstasy, depends on the ability to assimilate pain and frustration in an appropriate and truthful way, in the understanding that they are the production of the self.
Week 50. Lecture 139: A reliable gauge to determine whether there is still unrecognized cruelty within is the amount of fear you have left.
Week 51. Lecture 198: One of the most important attitudes to acquire for proper self-respect and self-acceptance is the ability to admit being wrong without feeling unworthy and unlovable.
Week 52. Lecture 141: The awareness that your immediate problem can be solved — that you have within you everything you need to do this – must be the first step in any given phase.
